Living with ADHD / "The Fun Version of Life"

First, let’s clear something up. Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are considered to be the same diagnosis. Doctors decided to combine the terms in 1994 and stick to the one name, ADHD. According to Kelli Miller in her WWW.WebMD.com article, ADHD can be seen through 3 main signs:

  • Inattention: Includes disorganization, problems staying on task, constant daydreaming, and not paying attention when spoken to directly.
  • Impulsivity: Includes spur-of-the-moment decisions without thinking about the chance of harm or long-term effects. They act quickly to get an immediate reward. They may regularly interrupt teachers, friends, and family.
  • Hyperactivity: Involves squirming, fidgeting, tapping, talking, and constant movement, especially in situations where it's not appropriate.

What are some symptoms?

  • Disorganization
  • Lack of focus
  • Impulsivity
  • Poor time management
  • Procrastination

What if I'm not officially diagnosed or don't see my symptoms?

You'll be glad to hear we can still help!  All experiences are extremely personalized and geared to each individual.  We start from where you are at in the present and only plan on progress from there.  Although our coaching is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment, we are another option.  An option proven to help.

What is ADHD Coaching?

ADHD coaching has two main componets.

1 - Figure out what your goals are

2 - Build a bridge from where you are to your desired life

Whether you feel stuck in trenches, or your doing fine but want to achieve more, our coaching will help curate a personalized plan to help you live the life you want.  Although it would be nice, our coaching is not an immediate answer to all your worries.  Instead, it is a process that we will walk with you for each step as you travel further from the past into the future.  The only thing we ask of you is your transparent honesty, an open mind, and dedicated time.  You will get the most out of our coaching by practicing self-awarness and working on it constantly.

What will I get out of this coaching?

The list could go on for ages with different benefits to our coaching, but the main ones include :

  • Science-backed tips, strategies, coping skills
  • Accountability/ support
  • Long and short term goal setting
  • Mindfulness/ education
  • Clearer judgement on everyday habits
  • Stress management
  • Impulse control
